Off Country
“When they detonated the bomb down there, he said it lit up brighter than any daylight he ever saw. He thought it was the end of the world.”
Off Country is a feature film and multimedia project that discusses the consequences of the nuclear weapons industry. The film reveals the effects on the environment as well as racist and classist policies inherent in the storage, mining and production of radioactive material. Off Country examines three regions in the west: the former Rocky Flats Plant, the White Sands Missile Range and the Nevada Test Site.
